Today we are going to deep dive into the business and personal sides of Asher Gottesman, founder and CEO of Transcend Recovery Community.
This son of a prominent rabbi, youngest of 5 kids, has had a long, complex and tumultuous relationship with addiction – lying evolved to food, which evolved to extreme dieting, which evolved to illegal substances, which evolved to money and alcohol.
He got married, had children, attended lavish galas, served on distinguished boards, and received accolades for his generous support of reputable non-profits. While he was at it, he also became an ordained rabbi. It all looked good on paper.
But the double life started to take its toll. Self-destruction, self-sabotage – his family, his business, his life – was all at risk. Digging deeper than he ever had before, he reached out for help. Looking for a way to salvation.
So how do you emerge from complete destruction, to a life that is filled with unconditional love and support, one that showcases having a lifestyle that is dynamic, interconnected and worthy of both pride and celebration.
Today, I want you to sit back, kick off your shoes, buckle in for we are about to go on one hell of an inspiring ride. One where we look inside what it takes to be Asher as he continues to ignite change in others, helping them build a better future.
